Operations on items, (moving, removing, deleting)

Common operations - works with every type of item like tasks, todos, notes, contacts (to read about working with folders click here).

Creating new items (contacts, notes, etc.)

  • click an empty space somewhere in the list, or
  • press Ctrl+N, or
  • double click a choosen tab, e.g. "Notes" to create a new note

Editing

Double click an item, or select it and press "Enter".

Copying&moving (only if you use folders)

You can move items by simply dragging&dropping to other folders.

If you press Ctrl during this operation, you make a completely new copy.

And, by pressing the "alt" key you add an item to a folder, that is, this item will belong to more that one folder.

You can also use clipboard operations (Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste, or use the "edit" menu commands)

Removing

To delete simply select and press "delete" key or click the "delete" button

There are two methods - "Remove" and "Delete completely". If you don't use multi-folders (so a given item belongs to only one folder) whichever method you'll use the item will be simply removed, that's it.

But if you do use multi-folders, so in your document an item may belong to many folders, then there is a slight difference:

Remove means: remove item from current folder only, if the item belongs to more folders - it will stay there. Otherwise will be deleted completely. Keyboard shortcut: "Delete".

Delete completely: even if a given item belongs to several folders, it will be completely deleted from all of them. Keyboard shortcut: Shift+Delete.

General information

You can also use the context menus, just select an item (or items) and use right mouse button to bring the context menu.
