General options
The following options are available after choosing tools/options/general
menu command (the obvious ones are not presented here):
General
- Activate Drag&Drop Safety Guard. It accidental dropping files or
directories happened to you, then activating this options may be useful - if
the Drag&Drop operation lasted suspiciously shortly - ACB will ask you
if this was not an accident and if you want to continue.
- Deactivate Drag&Drop at all. It appears that sometimes certain
Users don't want Drag&Drop at all, so it can be turned off.
- Always open with workspace. First create one, then select it here
if you want.
- Don't generate statistics. ACB tries to remember mostly visited
folders, which is then usable when you start typing in the
address bar. If, for
some reason, you don't want that, you may select this option, ACB will not
gather statistics and will delete existing statistics' file. This will
deactivate
suggestion tool and Other Locations (part of
Quick Access
Bar).
File List
- Make objects bold if newest ones or exists in favorites. Did you
notice that certain files and directories are made bold in the list? If you
don't like that, turn it off.
- Run conversion when image dropped. Well, first of all - if you will
drag&drop an image to ACB (or copy an image and paste to the ACB), then
ACB will create an image file, representing this image. However, it will ask
you about the conversion details, turn it off if you do not want this. If you
do it, then the image will be saved as bmp (windows bitmap).
- Font. Here you can specify default font used in the files' list. To
specify a color dependable on the files' extension, use Tools/Queries
Management menu command.
- Menus and selecting/right mouse button. Here you can define an
action after pressing right mouse button, if you prefer an "old" way - use it
to select files. Then to show context menu, use right-left click, or
shift+click.
- Menus and selecting/primary menu. Specify menu which should appear
as the primary, the alternative you can get by using right-left click, or
shift+click.
- One icon click. If you want ACB to distinguish between clicking the
file\folder name and the icon. If this option is set, then clicking the icon
is equal to double click.
Other
- Keyboard. Allows you to re-map some of the ACB's keyboard
shortcuts.
